India Launches New Visa Module for Afghan Nationals
India has created a new, easier system for Afghan people to get visas.
The new system has six different visa types, like for medical needs or studying.
If Afghans are already in India with an old visa, they need to switch to the new one.
This change is meant to make it easier for Afghans to come to India and to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
India's Ministry of External Affairs has introduced a new visa module for Afghan nationals.
The new system replaces the previous visa framework.
The new module includes six visa categories: medical, medical attendant, business, entry, student, and UN diplomatic.
The update came into effect in April.
Afghan nationals in India with old visas must transition to the new system through FRRO.
