EPFO Campaign Lets Employers Enrol Previously Excluded Workers

EPFO Campaign Lets Employers Enrol Previously Excluded Workers

A new EPFO campaign helps some workers get the provident fund coverage they should have received earlier.

It applies to eligible workers who were left out between April 1, 2009, and March 31, 2026.

Employers can add these workers until October 31, 2026.

Workers do not have to pay their old employee contributions if those amounts were never taken from their salaries.

Employers must pay their own past contributions and the interest due on them.

They must also pay administrative charges and ₹100 in damages.

A worker must be alive and still working for the employer when the declaration is made.

Registration uses a digital UAN and online contribution filings.
