Madras HC Orders SOP for Political Events in Tamil Nadu
The Madras High Court told the Tamil Nadu government to create safety rules, called SOPs, for political events after a stampede in Karur where 41 people died.
The government has 10 days to make these rules.
If they don't, the court may make a rule saying that political groups have to ask for permission 10 days before an event, and the police have to say yes or no at least three days before.

The directive follows the Karur stampede.
