Tata Motors has bought part of a company that works in electric transportation.

Its subsidiary paid ₹2.60 lakh for a 26% share in the company.

The company is called Mateshwari E-Smart Mobility (Hyderabad) Private Limited.

Because Tata Motors now owns 26%, the company will become its associate company.

The investment may help Tata Motors participate in electric-bus service tenders.

Tata Motors and a related company won a tender involving electric buses in Telangana.

The purchase was paid for in cash.

It was completed on September 28, 2026, and no government approvals were needed.
