Australia's Ambassador Kevin Rudd Steps Down Early
Kevin Rudd, who was Australia's ambassador to the United States, is leaving his job a year earlier than planned.

Rudd had some disagreements with the US President, Donald Trump.
Before he became ambassador, Rudd said some not-so-nice things about Trump.
Trump didn't like that and even asked Rudd to say sorry.
Despite the tension, Rudd did some good work as ambassador, like helping with important agreements and getting someone named Julian Assange released from jail.
The Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, said it was Rudd's own decision to leave early.
Now, people are talking about who might replace Rudd as the next ambassador.

He will become the president of the Asia Society think tank in New York.
