BCCI Summons Gambhir, Agarkar, Laxman Over India’s Cricket Setbacks
India’s cricket board is calling three senior officials to a meeting about recent results.
India won a Test series in Sri Lanka, but other recent performances were disappointing.
The team lost T20 series in Ireland and England and an ODI series in England.
India’s chances of reaching the World Test Championship final were also weakened.
The board is worried that injured players are not recovering quickly enough.
Some players and selectors reportedly have concerns about the Centre of Excellence’s fitness programs and communication.
The meeting will also examine whether the Indian Premier League puts too much strain on players.
Four selected players must pass fitness tests before the Afghanistan series.
The board wants a plan to keep players healthy for future tours and the 2027 World Cup.
