UP Police Book Six Handles Over False High Court Claims

UP Police Book Six Handles Over False High Court Claims

Police in Uttar Pradesh opened a case against six social media accounts.

They say the accounts shared an incorrect version of what happened in court.

The accounts reportedly said that the High Court had scolded Shamli Police.

The police superintendent said the court did not make that remark.

The court case involved Ayush Malik, a man who said he converted to Islam and married Chandni Qureshi willingly.

Malik’s father was accused of illegally keeping him detained.

The High Court ordered police to bring Malik before it and recorded his statement.

Police are investigating the posts as allegedly false or misleading information.
