Gujarat CM Reschedules SWAGAT Programme for December
The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, will lead a special meeting on December 24, 2025, to listen to people's problems.
This meeting, called SWAGAT, usually happens on the fourth Thursday of every month.
But this time, it's moved to December 24 because December 25 is Christmas, a holiday.
People can come to the Chief Minister's office in Gandhinagar in the morning to share their issues.
The Chief Minister will then listen to them in the afternoon.
This program started in 2003 and helps people talk directly to the government about their problems.
It's a way for the government to be more open and helpful to the people.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will chair the December 2025 SWAGAT programme on December 24 instead of the usual fourth Thursday due to the Christmas holiday.
The SWAGAT programme, initiated in 2003 by then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, serves as a platform for citizens to directly present their grievances to the Chief Minister.
Citizens can submit their representations in person at the Chief Minister’s Public Relations Unit in Gandhinagar between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on December 24.
The Chief Minister will personally attend the programme in the afternoon to hear grievances and representations from the public.
SWAGAT has evolved into a cornerstone of Gujarat’s administrative framework, providing a technology-driven platform for transparent and accountable governance.
