MHT-CET Mandates Aadhaar and APAAR IDs for 2026-27 Registrations
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has made Aadhaar and APAAR ID mandatory for all candidates registering for various CETs for admission to professional courses in the academic year 2026-27.
Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), while APAAR ID is a 12-digit digital identification for academic records.
Candidates need to have both IDs ready as the registration process cannot proceed without them.
The CET Cell has clarified that name mismatches will not prevent registration, and candidates can submit supporting documents at the time of admission.
To generate an APAAR ID, candidates must create an account on DigiLocker, the government’s digital document storage platform, and follow the instructions provided on the CET Cell’s official website.
