India and Canada Expand Security Cooperation on Crime and Terrorism

India and Canada held a meeting about working together on security.

They agreed to cooperate more closely against terrorism and organised crime.

They also discussed stopping human and drug trafficking, cybercrime and extortion.

The countries reviewed a plan they agreed on earlier in 2026.

They want to improve how their officials share information.

They may also explore regular talks about cybersecurity and economic security.

The meeting took place in New Delhi while David Morrison was visiting India.

The two countries also discussed trade negotiations and defence cooperation.
