NewJeans Members End Legal Dispute with Ador, Uphold Contracts
The K-Pop girl group NewJeans, made up of five members, was in a legal fight with their music company, Ador.
The members wanted to break their contracts, but a court decided their contracts were valid.
Now, the members have decided not to fight this decision anymore and will continue working with Ador.
This ends a period of worry for their fans about what would happen to the group.
The company, Ador, has said they will meet with each member to plan their work and rebuild trust.
All five members of NewJeans (Haerin, Hyein, Minji, Danielle, Hanni) have ended their legal dispute with agency Ador.
The members chose not to appeal a court ruling that declared their exclusive contracts with Ador legally binding.
The conflict reportedly began after the removal of former CEO Min Hee-jin in August 2024.
The Seoul Central District Court's ruling was a win for Ador and its parent company, HYBE.
Ador has stated they are arranging meetings with each member to ensure a smooth continuation of their activities and rebuild trust.
