Dance Showcases: Radha's Love, Odissi Tradition, and Kathak Resistance
Deep introspections: Shashwati Garai Ghosh solo work probes the many shades of Radha's love for Krishna - Telegraph India · telegraphindia.com

Two dance groups recently put on shows.

One group, Angashhuddhi, showed dances about love, tradition, and friendship.

Their main dancer, Shashwati Garai Ghosh, performed a solo piece called 'Poorna' about Radha's love for Krishna, showing different feelings like longing and surrender.

They also showed dances that taught about their special dance style, Odissi, and celebrated stories like the Ramayana.

The other group, Brindar, presented dances based on funny but serious poems, and another that talked about standing up to unfairness.

One dance called 'Sthira' was about how even in stillness, there is movement, like a meditation.

These shows explored many ideas, from deep love to fighting for what's right.
