Sudhir Chaudhary Removes Posts After Defamation Complaint

Sudhir Chaudhary Removes Posts After Defamation Complaint

Journalist Sudhir Chaudhary was accused of wrongly identifying a protester in a television report.

The protester, Vikram Sherawat, said the report called him “anti-national.”

Sherawat filed a defamation case and asked for Rs 5 crore in damages.

Chaudhary’s lawyer told the court that the social media posts had been removed.

The lawyer also said platforms were asked to remove copies posted by other people.

Sherawat said removing the posts did not end his case.

The Delhi High Court will consider the matter again in January.

The case concerns whether the incorrect identification harmed Sherawat’s reputation.
