BJP's Ashoka calls Karnataka's proposed Bengaluru parking charges a 'loot'

BJP's Ashoka calls Karnataka's proposed Bengaluru parking charges a 'loot'

A politician in India is very upset about a new plan by the state government.

The plan would make people pay money to park their cars on the road in front of their own homes in a big city called Bengaluru.

The politician's name is R. Ashoka, and he belongs to the BJP party.

He says the government wants to charge families between Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 every year.

He thinks this is unfair and is like a new tax on top of other taxes.

He says the government does not have enough money and is trying to take more from residents.

He also points out that the city's roads have potholes and fill with water when it rains.

He wants the government to fix roads and add more buses and metro trains instead.

He warns that voters will be angry and may punish the ruling party in the next elections.

The government says it is making new rules to manage traffic and parking in the city.
