West Bengal BJP ministers to meet MLAs weekly outside sessions
The BJP party in West Bengal is asking the state's ministers to talk with the elected leaders called MLAs once every week.
They should do this even when the big government meeting place, the Assembly, is closed.
A leader named Amlan Bhaduri is in charge of making sure this happens.
Ministers are supposed to listen to the MLAs' ideas about how to make their local areas better.
The MLAs will write down their problems and give them to the ministers.
The meetings will happen in the ministers' own rooms at the Assembly building.
This idea comes from the Chief Minister, Suvendu Adhikari, who started his job in May.
He wants ministers to work more closely with MLAs so people's problems get solved faster.

West Bengal BJP has directed state Cabinet ministers to meet MLAs once a week, irrespective of party affiliation, even when the Assembly is not in session.

Ministers must inform the Chief Whip's office of their preferred meeting day, and a formal schedule will be announced for interactions in their Assembly rooms.
The move follows Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari's remarks during the extended Budget Session urging ministers to use Assembly offices for regular engagement with legislators.
Legislators will submit grievances, suggestions and local issues in writing to ministers, aiming at quicker resolution of public grievances and better implementation of welfare schemes.
It remains unclear whether Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will take part in the weekly interaction mechanism.
