Fortis Healthcare Challenges Forensic Audit Order in Supreme Court

Fortis Healthcare Challenges Forensic Audit Order in Supreme Court

Fortis Healthcare has asked the Supreme Court to review a Delhi High Court order.

The order requires an investigation into certain company transactions.

The transactions involve former Fortis promoters Malvinder Mohan Singh and Shivinder Mohan Singh.

Daiichi Sankyo is seeking payment under a Rs 3,500 crore arbitral award.

The Delhi High Court said shares may have been moved or dissipated in a way that affected the payment.

It appointed S Ramanand Aiyar and Co to conduct a forensic audit.

The audit will try to reconstruct what happened and identify the people and companies involved.

Fortis disagrees with the order and has filed a legal challenge.
