Asian Games Advances Men’s Cricket Knockout Matches Over Floodlights
Some men’s cricket games at the 2026 Asian Games will start earlier than planned.
India’s quarter-final will begin at 1:30 p.m.
in Japan.
That means it will start at 10 a.m.
in India.
The game was originally scheduled for 2 p.m.

The second semi-final and the gold-medal game were also moved earlier.
Other morning matches will still begin at 9 a.m.
Women’s match timings will not change.
Organizers made the change because the venue has no floodlights and it gets dark early.
The change was listed online, but Indian Olympic Association officials said they had not yet been informed.
