ACB Arrests Salesman in Gurgaon Seed Subsidy Scam
Imagine the government wanted to help farmers by selling them cheap seeds.
Some people in charge of selling the seeds pretended to give farmers a lot of seeds, but they actually gave them less.
Then, they sold the extra seeds to others at a higher price.
The people in charge also made fake records to cover up what they were doing.
The government bought seeds for Rs 3,300 per quintal and sold to farmers at Rs 2,300 a quintal.
Now, one of the people involved has been arrested.
Haryana Seed Development Corporation salesman arrested in Gurgaon.
The arrest is connected to a seed subsidy scam involving diverted wheat seeds.
Farmers were supposed to receive 3-5 bags of seeds but got less.
