Mohammed Shami Urges Participation in SIR Exercise
Mohammed Shami, a famous Indian cricket player, went to a meeting with election officials in Kolkata.
He had to go because there were some mistakes in the form he filled out for voting.
Shami lives in Kolkata but is originally from Uttar Pradesh.
He couldn't go to the meeting earlier because he was playing cricket in Rajkot.
His brother also had to go to the meeting.
Shami has been living in Kolkata for many years because of his cricket career.
He started playing cricket there when he was young and got help from a famous coach.
Shami said that the SIR exercise is not harmful and encouraged everyone to participate.
Mohammed Shami attended a hearing under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Kolkata due to discrepancies in his enumeration form.
Shami is registered as a voter in ward number 93 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
He could not attend the earlier hearing as he was playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Rajkot.
Shami urged citizens to participate in the SIR exercise, asserting it will not harm anyone.
