Rajkot Bans Fuel Sales to Vehicles Without Number Plates

Rajkot Bans Fuel Sales to Vehicles Without Number Plates

A city in India called Rajkot made a new rule about cars and bikes.

The rule says that vehicles without a number plate cannot buy petrol or diesel.

A number plate is the metal sign on a vehicle that shows its special number.

The police found more than 100 vehicles without number plates during their checks.

Officials say some people use such vehicles to steal things or commit other crimes without being caught.

So the city decided to stop giving fuel to these vehicles for the next two months.

Fuel stations that break the rule and sell fuel anyway could get in trouble with the law.

The city hopes this rule will make roads safer and help police catch bad people.
