Waltair Division Holds Emergency Mock Drill at Simhachalam Station
Imagine a pretend train accident happened at the Simhachalam train station!
The railway people practiced what they would do if this really happened.
They made some train cars look like they were in an accident and pretended to help people who were on the train.
They practiced getting everyone off safely, giving them quick boo-boo care, and even practiced rescuing people from water, just in case.
This helps everyone who works at the station and on the trains know exactly what to do to keep people safe during an emergency.
They also practiced special ways to help if the fancy air-conditioned train cars got damaged because they are a bit tricky to fix.
It was like a practice run for a big emergency!
Waltair Division conducted a real-time rescue mock drill at Simhachalam railway station.
The drill simulated a train derailment and focused on passenger evacuation and first-aid response.
Participating teams included railway departments, local fire services, and ambulance units.
The objective was to assess emergency preparedness and inter-agency coordination.
Specialized techniques for AC coaches and underwater rescue capabilities were tested.
