Allahabad High Court grants Atiq Ahmad's sons parole for burial

A young man named Aban Ahmad died in a sad car accident.

Aban was 21 years old and was riding in an SUV with friends when the vehicle crashed into a divider on a road in Jhansi district, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

His friend Sonu, 25, also died in the crash, and three other people in the car were hurt and taken to a hospital.

Aban's father was Atiq Ahmad, a gangster and politician who was shot dead in 2023.

Two of Aban's brothers, Ali and Umar, are in jail right now.

A court called the Allahabad High Court gave the brothers special permission, called parole, to attend Aban's burial.

They will be allowed to go only with police watching over them, and they must go back to jail when the funeral is over.

The burial will happen on Saturday morning at the Kasari-Masari graveyard in Prayagraj.

Aban was on his way to visit his brother Ali in jail when the accident happened.
