Quant MF Launches India's First Equity Long-Short SIF
Quant Mutual Fund is starting a new type of investment fund, called a SIF, which is like a mix of regular mutual funds and more complex investment strategies.
This new fund, called QSIF, will invest in stocks and also use derivatives to potentially increase returns while managing risk.
Unlike regular mutual funds, the fund can take both long and short positions on stocks.
The fund is open to investors who are comfortable with moderate market changes.
This allows more sophisticated investing with a lower minimum investment than traditional PMS options.
Quant Mutual Fund launched India's first Equity Long-Short Specialised Investment Fund (SIF).
The fund is named QSIF Equity Long-Short Fund, blending stock investing with limited short exposure.
The NFO period is open until October 1.
The fund aims to deliver long-term capital appreciation using both long and short equity positions.
The fund offers a flexible investment option and bridges the gap between mutual funds and PMS.
