Delhi Police Boosts Safety for Traffic Personnel Amid Poor Air Quality
Delhi's air is very dirty and the weather is getting cold, which is tough for traffic police officers who are outside for many hours each day.
To help them stay healthy, the Delhi Police is giving them better masks that filter out more pollution and dust.
They are also getting new warm clothes for the winter.
The police are also holding regular health check-ups to make sure the officers are feeling well, both physically and mentally.
This is because it's important for the officers to be protected so they can do their jobs of directing traffic safely, even in difficult weather and air conditions.
Delhi Police is enhancing safety measures for its approximately 6,000 traffic personnel due to worsening air quality and cold temperatures.
Nearly 50,000 high-quality air-filter masks are being distributed, upgraded from previous N-95 models for better protection.
Personnel will also receive updated winter gear to protect them from the cold.
Regular health check-ups and camps are being conducted to monitor the physical and mental well-being of the staff.
These measures aim to ensure traffic personnel can perform their 8-10 hour daily duties efficiently and safely.
