Google Offers Changes to Settle EU Antitrust Probe

Imagine Google is like a big store owner who also runs the market where other small shops sell their goods.

The European Union (EU) is looking into whether Google is being fair to those other shops.

The EU thinks Google might be giving its own products, like Google Shopping, a special advantage, making it harder for others to compete.

Google has offered to make some changes, like letting the small shops set their own prices for ads.

However, Google doesn't entirely agree with the EU's concerns and plans to appeal the decision.

The EU's competition chief believes Google might need to sell off parts of its advertising business to truly make things fair.

If Google doesn't comply, it could face a very large fine.
