F1 2026: Major Changes Ahead
Formula 1 is getting a big update for 2026.
The cars will be lighter, faster, and have new technology.
They will have movable wings to help with racing, and the engines will have more electric power.
There are also new teams and drivers joining, like Audi and Cadillac.
The cars will also be safer with stronger parts to protect the drivers.
It's going to be an exciting new era for F1!
F1 cars for 2026 will be 30kg lighter, with a shorter wheelbase and narrower width, reducing downforce and drag.
New power units will have a 50-50 split between hybrid and electric power, with battery power tripling to 350kw.
Active aerodynamics will be introduced, allowing drivers to switch between two aero modes for better cornering or straight-line speed.
Safety standards will be higher with tougher crash structures and improved protection for the driver and fuel cell.
New teams and drivers will join the grid, including Audi replacing Kick Sauber and Cadillac as a new team, with drivers like Arvid Lindblad and Isack Hadjar making their debuts.
