Gambhir's Test Coach Role in Doubt
Gautam Gambhir is the coach for India's cricket team in all formats.
He has done well in shorter formats but not in Test matches, which are longer games.
The people in charge of Indian cricket, called BCCI, say he will continue as the coach.
However, there are reports that they might change the coach because the team has not done well in Tests.
They asked a famous former player, VVS Laxman, if he would like to be the new coach, but he said no.
The players feel less secure under Gambhir compared to the previous coach.
The BCCI will decide after the World Cup and the Indian Premier League, which is a big cricket tournament.
Gautam Gambhir's future as India's Test coach is uncertain due to poor performance.
BCCI approached VVS Laxman for the role, but he declined.
Gambhir's contract runs until the end of the 2027 ODI World Cup.
India's performance in the upcoming T20 World Cup will influence the decision.
Players feel less secure under Gambhir compared to the previous coach, Rahul Dravid.
