Nashik Emerges as Maharashtra’s Fourth-Largest Economy After 18.2% Growth

Nashik is now one of Maharashtra’s biggest and fastest-growing district economies.

It grew by 18.2% during 2024–25.

This helped it move into fourth place, after Mumbai, Thane and Pune.

Nashik earns money from factories, farming, grapes, onions, wine and food processing.

It also has automobile, engineering, pharmaceutical and logistics businesses.

New investment agreements could bring about ₹6,404 crore and create roughly 14,403 jobs.

Better roads and the Samruddhi Expressway are helping businesses move goods.

Future construction and tourism linked to Simhastha Kumbh 2027 may create more activity.
