Telangana Engineering Colleges Selling CSE Seats at High Premiums
Parents in Telangana are paying large sums of money for computer science engineering (CSE) and AI/ML seats in top colleges.
These seats are part of the management quota and can cost between 10 to 20 lakhs as a donation, in addition to annual tuition fees.
Parents pay these amounts to secure seats for their children, especially if their ranks are not high enough to get them into good colleges through regular counseling.
While demand is high, competition from private and deemed universities is keeping the donation amounts somewhat in check.
The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee is in charge of setting the fees for the next three years.

The cost for a CSE seat ranges from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, in addition to annual fees.
