Ghaziabad Science Teacher Wins National Teachers Award 2026

Dr Renu Tripathi is a science teacher in Ghaziabad, India.

She teaches students from classes 6 to 10.

Instead of only using textbooks, she makes simple models and takes students outside to learn.

She also uses YouTube, WhatsApp and online presentations.

Her students learn about things such as trees and soil erosion by observing them directly.

One former student won a national award for a soil-erosion model.

Tripathi started teaching after promising her father, who was also a teacher, that she would follow his example.

She has now been chosen for the National Teachers Award 2026.
