Erdogan Again Raises Kashmir at UN, Calls for Dialogue

Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, talked about Kashmir at the United Nations.

He said disagreements in South Asia should be solved by talking.

He also said countries should follow the United Nations Charter and relevant resolutions.

Pakistan’s prime minister was present during the speech.

India does not agree that Kashmir should be handled internationally.

India says Jammu and Kashmir is part of India.

India also wants Kashmir-related issues with Pakistan settled directly between the two countries.

Erdogan has raised Kashmir at the United Nations several times before.
