Gujarat BJP Defends National Film Awards Venue, Criticises Uddhav

The National Film Awards honour people who make films in India.

Gujarat BJP spokesperson Dr Anil Patel defended the decision to hold the ceremony in Kevadia Colony.

He said the awards belong to the whole country, not one state.

Films in many Indian languages compete for these awards.

Patel said Kevadia represents the idea of India staying united.

He also pointed to the Statue of Unity as an important attraction there.

Patel criticised Uddhav Thackeray and his political group over their objections.

He said Thackeray should think more about the national interest.
