Air India Express delay sparks passenger protest at Kannur airport

On Monday, passengers at an airport in Kannur got very upset.

Their Air India Express plane to Thiruvananthapuram was many hours late.

The plane was late because the aircraft flying from Muscat had a technical problem and had to stay in Muscat.

Some airport workers said a flight to Dubai was also cancelled because of this problem.

However, a person from the airline said no Dubai flight was cancelled.

The passengers shouted at the airline staff because they said nobody gave them warning about the delay.

The airline said passengers were told about the delay ahead of time.

People who could not take the delayed or cancelled flight were offered their money back or a seat on another flight.

Air India Express has not yet given an official answer about what happened.
