Nevada State University Henderson Campus Shelter-In-Place Amid Police Investigation
Imagine a school in Nevada where everyone suddenly had to stay inside their classrooms or buildings and not go out.
This happened because police were investigating something nearby.
The school sent an alert to tell everyone to stay put just to be safe.
Police from different towns came to help figure out what was going on.
They didn't share many details, but everyone was asked to stay inside until it was okay to leave.
A shelter-in-place order was issued Wednesday afternoon at Nevada State University's Henderson campus.
The order was initiated due to a large police presence near Paradise Hills Drive.
Affected areas include the Kasner Academic Building, Christenson Education Building, and the Village student housing complex.
University Police Services issued the alert out of an abundance of caution, with LVMPD leading the investigation.
No additional details regarding the incident or potential threat have been released.
