Governor Calls On Youth To Blend Technology, Heritage
A very important leader, called a governor, went to a big gathering in a city named Nashik.
At the gathering, people celebrated the Vedas, which are very old books of knowledge from India.
The governor told young people to learn about new things like computers, science and robots.
He also told them to learn about the old stories and wisdom from their country.
He said that mixing new science with old knowledge can make India strong.
There is a new education rule, called the National Education Policy 2020, that can help with this.
A special university for the old language of Sanskrit is being built in Nashik.
The governor gave awards to people who work hard to keep the Vedas alive.
He said the Vedas are not just from the past but can also help India in the future.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma urged youth to build a new India by embracing modern science, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies while drawing inspiration from ancient knowledge traditions.
He spoke at the Chaturveda Sammelan and National Veda Shastra Awards ceremony organised by Maharshi Gautam Godavari Veda Vidya Pratishthan in Nashik.
The Governor said the National Education Policy 2020 offers an important opportunity to combine modern science with India's ancient knowledge traditions.
A centre of the Central Sanskrit University is being established in Nashik, with land provided by the state government.
Varma described the Vedas as a potential 'source of strength for our future' and stressed conveying Vedic and Indian knowledge traditions to students through accessible, modern means.
