Flexi-Cap Funds Show Wide Differences in Large-Cap Allocation

Flexi-cap funds can invest in companies of different sizes.

These sizes are called large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap stocks.

The rules require these funds to keep at least 65% of their money in stocks or similar investments.

However, fund managers can choose how much to place in each company-size group.

Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund had the highest large-cap share among the funds studied, at 91.14%.

Motilal Oswal Flexi Cap Fund had the lowest, at 37.79%.

The average large-cap share for the category was 58.41%.

This information can help investors compare funds and avoid having too much of the same kind of investment.
