Speaking at Project Jagrook’s launch in Chandigarh on October 5, he urged investors to use regulated products, channels and entities.
He advised people to invest in products they understand, diversify, begin early and stay invested for the long term.
A SEBI survey found 63% of households were aware of at least one securities-market product, but only 9.5% participated.
Project Jagrook will coordinate investor education, while MUST aims to promote securities-market education among university students.
