Indian Paddlers Leave Asian Games Without Canoeing Medal

India's canoeing team did not win a medal at these Asian Games.

This was disappointing because India had won a bronze medal in the men's canoe double at the previous Hangzhou Games.

That event was not held this time.

India's men's kayak four reached the main final but finished seventh.

The men's kayak double placed third in a consolation final for teams that missed the medal race.

India's women's canoe double did not reach its final.

The women's kayak four finished last in its main final.

The coach said the team is improving, but the remaining events offered only limited chances to win medals.
