CBI Arrests UP Gramin Bank Officials in Bribery Case

CBI Arrests UP Gramin Bank Officials in Bribery Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two people from a bank in Uttar Pradesh, India.

These people were the Branch Manager and a worker at the UP Gramin Bank’s Durvasha Branch.

They were caught taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a farmer who wanted a loan for farming.

The farmer had applied for a Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan, which was approved for Rs 2,52,000.

The bank officials asked for 10% of this amount as a bribe, but after talking, they agreed to take Rs 20,000.

The CBI set a trap and caught them while taking the money.

This shows that the CBI is working to stop corruption in government offices.

The bank’s goal is to help farmers and small businesses with easy and affordable banking services.
