Tamil Nadu Assembly Opposes FCRA Bill, Demands Scrapping NEET
In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, a group of elected leaders called the state assembly makes decisions for the people.
On Tuesday, the leaders came together and passed two official resolutions.
The first one is about a proposed law from the central government of India called the FCRA bill.
The leaders worry this law could make it harder for charity groups, especially ones run by minority communities, to get foreign money and keep helping people.
They asked the central government to take the bill back.
The second resolution is about NEET, a big exam students must take to get into medical college.
The leaders say NEET is unfair to students who study in the Tamil language, live in villages, or have less money.
They want medical students to be chosen using their Class 12 marks instead.
Most political parties supported the resolutions, but one leader from the BJP disagreed and walked out.
