FPI Interest in Indian Market Grows
Foreign investors are very interested in India's stock market.
They want companies in India to follow better rules, like those in other countries.
This could bring more money into India.
A group called ICGN, which includes big investors, is working with India's market regulators to make these changes.
They think this will make Indian companies more attractive to investors.
Some investors are already avoiding companies with poor governance.
Right now, foreign investors own about $1 trillion worth of Indian stocks, and they have been buying more since October 2025.
FPI interest in Indian markets is at an all-time high, with potential for significant inflows if corporate governance improves.
ICGN, a global network of investors, is collaborating with SEBI to enhance governance standards in India.
Quantum Advisors, a sponsor of Quantum Mutual Fund, is the first Indian signatory to ICGN's global stewardship code.
FPIs turned net buyers of Indian equities in October 2025, with a trend continuing into November.
About 30% of the Nifty index is considered uninvestable due to governance concerns, according to Quantum Advisors.
