Autism Center Trains Nurses for Inclusive Care
A special center for autism has started a training program for nurses.
This program teaches nurses about autism and other conditions that affect how people develop.
The goal is to help nurses understand and care for people with disabilities better.
Parents of children with disabilities have said that sometimes hospitals and doctors don't understand their needs, which can make things harder.
The training will last three months and will include videos and group discussions.
Nurses will learn how to interact with people who have autism or ADHD.
This training will help nurses in hospitals and also give them opportunities to work as caregivers for families.
Doctors and hospital staff agree that this training is important and will help them provide better care.
A centre for autism has introduced a 3-month training programme for nurses to sensitise them about autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
The programme aims to help nurses better understand and care for individuals with disabilities, addressing concerns about communication gaps in hospitals.
The training will include videos and group discussions on how individuals with autism react to situations and how to interact with them.
The course will start with 130 nurses on January 12 and is expected to create freelancing opportunities for caregivers.
Parents and healthcare professionals have highlighted the need for such training to improve the humane approach towards people with disabilities.
