Andhra Pradesh Government Eases Rules for Contract Health Staff
The Andhra Pradesh government is changing some work rules for contract health employees.
Radiographers who complete 11 months of service can take 30 special leave days.
These days will not reduce their normal leave.
Nurses and other health workers who help with surgeries may receive incentive payments.
Hospitals must show information about surgeries and payments on notice boards.
Primary health centres will arrange support workers for day and night duties.
Nurses should share duties so one person does not repeatedly work 12-hour shifts.
ANMs can help with duty arrangements when needed.
Medical laboratory students can train at health centres for one month.
Contract radiographers and radiographic technicians will receive 30 days of special leave after every 11 months of service.
Eligible contract paramedical staff will receive cadre-wise NTR Vaidya Seva Trust incentives for surgeries and procedures.
Hospitals must display monthly details of surgeries, participating staff, and incentives on notice boards.
Primary health centres will deploy MNOs and FNOs during the day and Sanitary Attendants/Workers at night.
PHCs will rotate nurses’ duties, use ANMs where needed, and allow medical laboratory students one-month clinical training.
