NIA Court Sentences Al-Hind ISIS Conspiracy Accused to Seven Years

A court in Bengaluru found Syed Fasiur Rehaman guilty in a terrorism conspiracy case.

The case was connected to an Al-Hind group linked to ISIS.

He was given seven years in prison and fined Rs 48,000.

Investigators said he attended meetings about the alleged conspiracy.

They also said he bought tents and knives for planned training in forest camps.

The NIA said the group wanted to find forest areas for camps and hiding places.

Officials alleged that the wider plan included targeted killings and creating an ISIS province in the region.

The agency is still trying to trace an alleged online handler connected to the group.
