Trainee IPS Officer Gets Two-Day Police Custody in Harassment Case

A person training to be a police officer is in trouble.

His name is Uday Krishna Reddy.

A court has decided that police can keep him for two days to ask him questions.

This happened because another police trainee, a woman, said he harassed her.

The police also want to find his mobile phone, which they think holds important clues.

Mr. Reddy says that after he passed a very big exam, his story became famous online.

He says some women asked him to be their boyfriend and he said yes.

He asked people, "What is wrong with that?"

A higher court, the Telangana High Court, did not stop the case.

It will look at the case again on August 26.
