Chaos at Messi's Kolkata Event
Lionel Messi, a famous football player, visited Kolkata and had an event at a big stadium.
Many fans came to see him, but there was a lot of chaos.
People threw chairs and bottles because they couldn't see Messi properly.
The Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, said she was sorry and will look into what went wrong.
The main organizer was arrested, and the organizers were told to give back the money to the fans.
Everyone was upset because the event was supposed to be fun, but it turned into a big mess.
Messi was surrounded by politicians and organizers, which made it hard for fans to see him.
Some fans said they felt cheated because they paid a lot of money for tickets but couldn't even see Messi properly.
The police had to escort Messi out early because of the chaos.
The All India Football Federation said they were not involved in the event and asked everyone to stay calm.
After the chaos in Kolkata, Mumbai police have put in place strict security measures for Messi's visit to ensure similar incidents do not happen.
Chaotic scenes unfolded during Lionel Messi's event at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, with fans throwing chairs and bottles due to poor viewing arrangements.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee apologized to Messi and his fans, announcing an enquiry committee to investigate the mismanagement.
The prime organizer of the event was detained over alleged mismanagement and directed to refund ticket prices to disappointed spectators.
BJP accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of 'complete mismanagement' and 'zero planning' for the event.
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh demanded strict action against the organizers, alleging their 'overzealousness' and poor planning caused the chaos.
Mumbai police have implemented World Cup-level security arrangements for Messi's visit to Brabourne and Wankhede stadiums.
Spectators will not be allowed to carry water bottles, metal objects, or coins inside the stadiums in Mumbai.
Over 2,000 police personnel have been deployed in and around the two venues in Mumbai, with authorities expecting a heavy turnout.
Former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia expressed disappointment that genuine fans did not get to see Messi in Kolkata.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose condemned the chaos, calling it a 'black day for Kolkata' and accusing event managers of ignoring fans’ sentiments.
