MEA Clarifies No Role in Salman Khan's 'Battle of Galwan'
Salman Khan is making a movie called 'Battle of Galwan' about a fight between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020.
Some Chinese news outlets didn't like the movie and said it wasn't true.
India's government, called the Ministry of External Affairs, said they don't have anything to do with making movies.
They said other people in India handle movies.
The movie is coming out on April 17, and Salman is playing a soldier who died in the fight.
The government also said they don't stop movies from being shown in theaters.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified that the MEA has no role in filmmaking, including Salman Khan's 'Battle of Galwan'.
The movie, produced by Salman and his mother Salma Khan, is set to release on April 17 and is directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
The film depicts the 2020 Galwan Valley clash where 20 Indian soldiers and at least 5 Chinese soldiers were killed.
Chinese state media criticized the film, claiming it distorts facts, but the MEA stated it is not involved in the movie.
The MEA emphasized that filmmaking issues are handled by relevant authorities, not the MEA.
