Keralam Announces Additional Aid for Landslide-Hit Families

A landslide in Mundakkai-Chooralmala in 2024 badly affected many families.

More than 200 people died and hundreds of homes were destroyed.

The Keralam government is giving money to families that lost their livelihoods.

Around 150 families are set to receive Rs 2 lakh each.

The broader Micro Plan scheme covers 433 families.

The money is meant to help people start businesses or other work.

Some families have already begun enterprises inside and outside Wayanad.

The assistance comes from government disaster-relief and community-development funds.
