Starc Could Defy History in 2027 Ashes
Mitchell Starc is a fast bowler for Australia.
He is doing really well in the current Ashes series, taking 26 wickets and scoring some runs too.
The Australian coach, Andrew McDonald, thinks Starc might be able to play in the 2027 Ashes, which would be a big deal because no Australian fast bowler has played Test cricket after their 37th birthday in a long time.
The last one to do this was Ray Lindwall in 1960.
McDonald believes that with good management, Starc could defy this trend and play in the 2027 Ashes.
Mitchell Starc is leading the current Ashes series with 26 wickets at an average of 17.42.
Starc has also contributed with the bat, scoring 151 runs at an average of 30.
Australian head coach Andrew McDonald suggests Starc could play in the 2027 Ashes, defying historical trends.
No Australian fast bowler has played Test cricket after their 37th birthday since Ray Lindwall in 1960.
McDonald credits the Australian team's management for Starc's durability and potential future appearances.
