DU Allocates 21,000 Extra Seats in CSAS Round 1
Delhi University has added 21,409 extra seats in the first round of admissions for 2026-27.
They did this because they looked at past data and saw that some courses and colleges often have empty seats.
So, they added more seats in those areas to make sure all seats get filled.
The first list gave seats to 93,033 students out of 71,624 available seats.
Students have until July 18 to accept their seats.
The university will use the same method for the next rounds, depending on how many students keep their seats.
The new school year starts on July 28.
By the deadline, 79,404 candidates had accepted their allotted seats, with 26,061 approved for payment and 10,746 completing the admission process.
